Join Us for Luce Pioneer Day at Lake Herman State Park!
Step back in time and experience the life of South Dakota pioneers at Luce Pioneer Day, happening on Saturday, June 14, 2025, at the historic Luce Cabin site within Lake Herman State Park. This family-friendly event runs from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM and offers a full day of living history activities and entertainment for all ages.
What to Expect:
★ Hands-on Activities: Try your hand at rope making, butter churning, spinning, candle making, and more!
★ Hatchet Throwing: A crowd favorite—test your aim and channel your inner pioneer!
★ Live Music: Enjoy the sounds of the South Dakota Fiddlers as they bring the pioneer spirit to life with traditional tunes.
Admission:
Event participation is free with your state park entrance license.
